We are looking for Senior Manager, Production to lead our Lapua Workshop with organization of 110 boiler manufacturing professionals. Our Workshop is part of Valmet’s Pressure Parts manufacturing in Global Supply organization and the skilled teams of welders, assemblers and production professionals deliver high quality products to our customers globally.
Lapua workshop is a part of wider manufacturing network and as a Senior Manager you will be a member of Pressure Part manufacturing leadership team, having the ownership of your own responsibility area as a whole; to it’s people, processes and financial aspects. You will lead by being present and promoting open dialogue and strong team spirit as well as supporting and create health and safety in the workplace. You have a wide and international network of internal and external interest groups, therefore you need to have excellent co-operation and communication skills. In our production high quality level, built in flexibility, proactive co-operation and continuous development are key factors in serving our customers efficiently and you will have an important role in this whole to shape the future of our production operations.

To be successful in this position, you have:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in suitable field
• 
  
• Several years of work experience in managerial roles

• Experience in leading an organization successfully
• Good understanding of financial aspects and securing competitiveness in manufacturing.
• Excellent co-operation skills and ability and willingness to engage people and teams by encouraging and motivating
• Excellent communication and presenting skills from one-to-one to wider audience.
• Ability to apply LEAN principles in practice.
• Good knowledge of employment laws, collective agreements and practices in particular in manufacturing / industrial environment, including blue collar workforce in Finland
• Experience in working with union representatives
• High ambition for continuous development from daily improvements to long-term development plans and processes.
• Deep understanding the importance of health, safety and environmental aspects.
• Interest in digitalization and opportunities it brings.
• Fluent written and oral English and Finnish.
• Knowledge of pressure parts related to manufacturing codes, standards and requirements are seen as benefit.
