Description

ABOUT US

At Davidson & Company our people are our strongest asset. From our humble beginnings in 1984, our entrepreneurial drive has grown our firm to nearly 200 strong and established us as one of the largest independent CPA firms in B.C. and the leading public auditor in Canada.

From our vibrant office in downtown Vancouver, we offer tax, audit, and advisory services to a diverse global client base. You’ll have the chance to work with clients across a range of industries, including:

  • Mining and exploration (our specialty!)
  • Cryptocurrency and blockchain ventures
  • Cannabis companies navigating rapid growth
  • Technology startups and scale-ups
  • Publicly listed and pre-IPO companies
  • International subsidiaries and multi-entity groups

Unlike the other behemoth accounting firms where you’re often confined to one lane, Davidson gives you the freedom and opportunity to explore multiple facets of the business. From day one, you’ll collaborate with top-notch industry leaders, develop your expertise, shape your own career path, and make an impact here at Davidson.

Responsibilities

Are you a seasoned audit professional who loves leading teams, building client relationships, and making complex accounting feel crystal clear? If you’re ready to step into a key leadership role at one of B.C.’s largest independent CPA firms—we want to hear from you!
At Davidson & Company, we do public audit differently. Our Senior Managers aren’t just task managers—they’re trusted advisors, strategic thinkers, and people leaders. In this role, you’ll oversee diverse, high-impact client engagements while mentoring future audit stars and shaping how we work and grow.
What You’ll Do:

As a Senior Manager, you’ll be the quarterback of your audit engagements, steering the ship from kickoff to final delivery. Here’s what your day might include:

  • Lead the charge as Engagement Manager— planning, executing, and delivering results—while managing timelines, budgets, billing, and collections like a boss.
  • Be the client’s go-to — Build strong, respectful relationships with clients by delivering exceptional service, staying proactive, and showing up with clarity, confidence, and solutions.
  • Keep things moving — Develop detailed work plans, illustrate budgets and schedules, track progress, and make sure everything stays on track with the Engagement Partner looped in.
  • Flex your technical muscles — You’ll apply your deep knowledge of IFRS, CAS, US GAAP, and PCAOB standards to help clients navigate complex audit and accounting challenges.
  • Lead the team — Motivate, coach, delegate, and support your audit crew. Your guidance will shape careers, not just deliverables.
  • Earn trust across the board — Gain the respect and confidence of the Davidson & Company team through clear direction, strong client management, and timely, accurate communication.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally — You’ll help shape operational and strategic planning, client development, and elevate how we do audit.
  • Pack your bags (sometimes) — Occasionally hop on a plane (or a Teams call across time zones) to support clients across Canada and beyond.
