RBC Caribbean Technology is seeking a visionary Senior Manager, Quality Engineering (QE) to lead our Core Banking, Payments, and Specialized Applications. This is a unique opportunity to drive innovation and excellence in quality engineering, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, cutting-edge products and services that empower our Caribbean customers. In this role, you will lead a talented team of Quality Engineers and Software Development Engineers in Test (SDETs), fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and innovation. You will oversee the development and execution of a robust quality management system, ensuring it remains effective and scalable to meet the growing complexity and volume of QE activities. As a champion of AI-driven innovation, you will leverage advanced automation and machine learning technologies to transform software testing practices, driving efficiencies, accelerating delivery timelines, and ensuring the highest standards of quality across our Core Banking, Payments, and Specialized Applications Labs. What will you do? Lead the Core Banking, Payments, and Specialized Applications(AI) teams in designing and implementing a forward-thinking, AI-driven Quality Engineering strategy. Define and communicate key QE metrics and KPIs to measure, monitor, and continuously improve the effectiveness of quality engineering practices. Foster a culture of quality, innovation, and continuous improvement across the Core Banking, Tech Currency, and Data Labs. Optimize the allocation of resources, processes, and budgets to ensure the QE team is equipped to handle increasing complexity and scale. Drive the adoption of advanced automation and AI technologies to enhance testing efficiency, improve speed-to-market, and ensure robust quality assurance across all products and services. Oversee the execution of quality strategies, standards, and procedures to deliver exceptional outcomes for our Core Banking, Tech Currency, and Data Labs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on quality goals and deliverables, while fostering a shared commitment to excellence. Core Banking, Payments, and Specialized Applications What do you need to succeed? Must-have Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience managing and leading Quality Engineering teams. At least 10 years of experience in QA, QE, or software development, with expertise in designing optimized test cases and implementing automated testing strategies. Proven ability to design and lead test case development for unit tests, component/service-based tests, and complex end-to-end scenarios, including database, data ingestion, and source-to-target validation. Deep knowledge of Agile, DevOps practices, and test integration, with hands-on experience in automation frameworks and strategies. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Expertise in Core Banking applications, functionalities, and frameworks. Proficiency in test automation tools (e.g., Robot Framework, Appium, Cucumber, Selenium, TestNG) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Gherkin, Bash). Hands-on programming experience with Java, COBOL, DB2, and SQL400. Experience with DevOps tools and practices. Nice-to-have ISTQB Certification. Knowledge of ARCAD software. Experience with Temenos T24 QE frameworks and functionalities. What’s in it for you?
