About the role | Mō te tūranga As a senior member of our regulatory delivery capability, you will provide expert guidance and hands-on support across key prudential domains, including: Outsourcing and third-party risk management Operational resilience and critical operations Crisis management and business continuity Open Bank Resolution (OBR) readiness Depositor Compensation Scheme (DCS) uplift You’ll work closely with programme teams, senior stakeholders, and cross-functional partners to translate regulatory requirements into practical, sustainable business solutions. What You’ll Be Doing Regulatory Advisory and analysis Interpret DTA regulatory requirements and translate them into clear, actionable business practices Provide pragmatic advice on regulatory expectations and impacts Support regulatory gap analysis and risk assessments Partner with business analysts to shape requirements, assumptions, and solution design Delivery & Implementation Support the design and delivery of regulatory change initiatives Contribute to roadmaps, implementation planning, and prioritisation Uplift frameworks, policies, processes, and controls Support testing, change readiness, and transition into BAU Stakeholder Engagement Build trusted relationships across risk, compliance, legal, operations, and technology Influence and engage senior stakeholders and programme teams Support regulatory and leadership reporting, briefings, and responses Proactively manage risks, issues, and dependencies Quality & Assurance Ensure high-quality documentation, including requirements, process maps, and traceability Support audits, assurance reviews, and regulatory engagement Embed sustainable solutions into operating models About you | Ō pūkenga You’re a strategic thinker with a strong regulatory mindset, who can confidently translate complex requirements into practical outcomes while influencing stakeholders across the business. Experience 7+ years in regulatory change, risk, compliance, or policy roles Proven experience delivering complex regulatory change programmes in an operational context of within a large organisation Demonstrable experience navigating complex stakeholder environments Strong experience working with Line 1 and Line 2 functions Expertise in one or more areas: Outsourcing Operational resilience / business continuity Crisis management Resolution planning / OBR Depositor protection schemes CPS 230 or similar frameworks Knowledge & Skills Strong understanding of prudential regulation and financial services Deep knowledge of operational risk, governance, and control frameworks Exceptional ability to interpret regulation and assess business impacts Understanding of change management approaches Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing capability Excellent verbal and written communication and facilitation skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Comfortable navigating complexity and ambiguity Qualifications Tertiary qualification in finance, law, accounting, policy, or a related field If you are interested in Growing a better New Zealand together (kia ngātahi te tipu o Aotearoa) please follow the link and apply online or visit www.rabobank.co.nz./careers.
