About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager, Research Proposals and Awards Management to lead a team dedicated to providing expert guidance and support to researchers throughout the award development and management process. This key leadership role involves overseeing two critical units: Research Proposals and Awards Management. The Research Proposals team supports researchers in identifying funding opportunities and developing competitive proposals, while the Awards Management team ensures efficient post-award support, assisting researchers in meeting obligations to sponsors and partners.

About You

  • Proven experience in leading and developing high-performing teams in a service-oriented research environment.
  • Substantial experience managing competitive research grants and proposals, with a strong focus on pre- and post-award processes.
  • Expert knowledge of research funding, governance, and regulatory compliance.
  • A demonstrated history of implementing innovative strategies that improve research proposal quality, metrics and processes.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build relationships and communicate complex information effectively.
  • Strong planning, organisational, and time management skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
