A highly regarded global financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Investment Operations Manager to join its leadership team.
This is a key leadership opportunity for a seasoned investment operations professional to take ownership of the day-to-day BAU function while also playing a pivotal role in driving transformation, implementing strategic change and building a high-performing, collaborative team culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and implement strategic, operational and product-related requirements across Investment Operations.
- Develop and execute the Investment Operations team strategy, while contributing to the broader Operations and Business strategy.
- Champion a strong client-centric culture across the Investment Operations function, strengthening stakeholder relationships and service outcomes.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, identifying and implementing initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, effectiveness and performance.
- Oversee and govern Transitional Service Arrangement (TSA) activities, ensuring effective delivery, governance and outcomes.
- Provide oversight of fund accounting, ensuring accuracy, quality and adherence to relevant requirements.
- Lead and oversee fund tax management activities.
- Ensure robust and timely financial reporting processes and outcomes.
- Manage and govern key service provider relationships and performance.
- Maintain a strong focus on operational risk, controls and governance, ensuring appropriate frameworks and processes are embedded.
- Provide support across regulatory and compliance requirements, ensuring ongoing operational adherence to relevant obligations.
- Lead and contribute to projects, transformation and change management initiatives across Investment Operations.
- Maintain strong operational governance and compliance across all relevant regulatory and organisational requirements.
Key Requirements
- 10+ years' experience within asset management, fund administration, custody or a related investment operations environment.
- Extensive experience and strong technical expertise in fund accounting and fund tax.
- Strong understanding of managed funds, unit trust structures and investment operations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Australian investment management regulatory environment.
- CPA or CA qualified.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a complex and evolving environment.
- Strong problem-solving, research, analytical and decision-making capabilities.
