About the role This permanent full-time opportunity offers an exciting chance to lead critical governance and compliance outcomes within a complex and high‑stakes environment. As the Senior Manager RTO Governance and Compliance, you will be responsible for overseeing business‑critical compliance and self-assurance activities, ensuring the organisation consistently meets regulatory expectations and maintains a strong audit‑ready position. Operating at pace, you will manage a high volume of work, responding quickly to emerging issues and coordinating multiple priorities that directly impact organisational performance and regulatory standing. In this role, you will lead and embed robust compliance practices, providing expert oversight and advice across a range of regulatory requirements within an education setting. You will work closely with key stakeholders to interpret and apply the RTO regulatory framework, guide decision‑making, and drive swift, effective responses to compliance challenges. You will also manage regulatory events and submissions including audits and formal responses, ensuring a consistent and effective regulatory interface. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast‑moving environment and is motivated by delivering high‑quality, risk‑aware outcomes that support organisational success. About you  You are an experienced compliance professional with a strong background working within complex, highly regulated environments, ideally within the VET education sector. You bring a deep understanding of the RTO regulatory framework and associated regulator expectations and have demonstrated success leading compliance and assurance activities that are both business‑critical and time‑sensitive. Your ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into practical, effective actions will be key to your success in this role. Resilient and composed, you excel in high‑pressure environments where priorities can shift rapidly, and multiple issues require immediate attention. You have the ability to remain calm, think clearly, and make sound decisions while managing competing demands. With strong leadership capability and a proactive mindset, you can quickly mobilise efforts, guide teams through complex compliance challenges, and ensure compliant outcomes are delivered with accuracy, efficiency, and confidence.
