Description

YOUR EXPERTISE. OUR HOTELS. A SAFER FUTURE TOGETHER.

We have a brand new opportunity for a Senior Manager, Safety & Security (fire safety) to take a lead role in shaping and strengthening IHG’s fire safety management across our EMEAA region.
As part of our Global Safety & Security team – within the wider Business Reputation & Responsibility function – you’ll be the lead fire safety specialist for the region. You’ll be working alongside our Global Director for Brand Safety Standards and with colleagues in the Americas and Greater China, you’ll help ensure a globally consistent approach to fire safety that protects our guests, colleagues, and hotels.

Responsibilities
  • Support Safety & Security Directors to embed our Brand Safety Standards across the hotel lifecycle, from new builds to refurbishments, guiding consistent and practical decision-making.
  • Continuously gather insights from internal stakeholders and external sources to drive improvements in fire safety standards.
  • Build capability across the region by developing tools, resources, and training materials to strengthen fire safety knowledge.
  • Design and implement robust assurance processes to verify compliance and monitor performance.
  • Provide proactive support in fire safety incident investigations and responses.
  • Act as the key interface between Safety & Security and other business functions – including Hotel Lifecycle & Growth, Operations, and Leadership – on fire safety matters.
  • Manage external suppliers and consultants delivering specialist fire safety services.
  • Contribute to wider business projects, including due diligence for acquisitions and responses to emerging safety and security risks.
