In this leadership role, you will lead the SAP Master Data Operations team within Moderna’s SAP Center of Excellence, ensuring the accurate execution, governance, and continuous improvement of master data across critical SAP domains. Working at the intersection of business process ownership, solution architecture, and operational excellence, you will enable reliable, compliant, and scalable SAP processes that support Moderna’s global operations. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with advanced digital capabilities, including Generative AI, as Moderna continues to evolve intelligent, data-driven business processes across the enterprise. Here's What You'll Do: Lead and develop the SAP Master Data Operations team, building a high-performing organization that delivers operational excellence while fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning. Serve as the execution and control layer within Moderna’s SAP operating model, translating business priorities and system design into accurate, reliable, and compliant master data. Lead and guide SAP configuration and delivery teams, ensuring consistent execution, comprehensive documentation, and adherence to established global standards. Partner closely with SAP Business Process Owners, who provide business ownership, and SAP Solution Architects, who serve as the design authority, to ensure SAP master data is accurately created, maintained, and governed in alignment with enterprise standards, system design, regulatory requirements, and governance frameworks. Create, maintain, and ensure adherence to SAP master data standards for key data objects, including Material Master and Customer Master, in accordance with enterprise data governance policies. Execute and oversee SAP master data creation and maintenance activities, ensuring all changes comply with approved business rules, workflows, authorization models, and governance requirements. Apply and enforce established data governance standards, controls, and procedures across all SAP master data processes to maintain consistency and operational integrity. Perform ongoing data quality checks, validations, and monitoring activities to ensure master data remains accurate, consistent, reliable, and fit for purpose across the enterprise. Conduct root cause analysis on master data issues, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to drive timely corrective and preventive actions. Maintain high standards of data integrity while supporting internal audit activities, regulatory requirements, and compliance with internal control frameworks. Collaborate across business and technical functions to enable business operations, reporting, analytics, and end-to-end SAP processes through trusted, high-quality master data. Identify, prioritize, and implement continuous improvement opportunities that enhance efficiency, standardization, scalability, and overall data quality across SAP master data operations. Foster strong cross-functional collaboration that aligns business needs, technical solution design, and operational execution while ensuring enterprise-wide consistency. Ensure global standards are consistently applied across SAP master data operations, enabling reliable execution and supporting Moderna’s continued growth. Here’s What You’ll Need (Basic Qualifications) Education: BA/BS preferred in supply chain management, logistics, engineering and/or business administration with experience in pharmaceutical data management and project management Experience: 5+ years (BA/BS) or 3+ years (MS) in various Supply Chain, Project Management, and Manufacturing functions (strong preference towards Pharmaceutical and Biotech experience) Certification in APICS, data management, or related disciplines is a plus.
