About the role COE Direct Sourcing excellence- Metals Leads a team of supply chain associates of key commodities such as Copper , Aluminum , Steel Raw & Fabrication, Heat Exchangers , Casting , forging & Machining to drive and execute sourcing excellence activities, supporting Global and Regional Commodity Managers. Collaborates with key stakeholders to achieve goals in productivity, spend analytics, contracting, dual sourcing, and value engineering, while owning all team performance metrics Builds organizational capability and capacity to meet growth and high-performance targets. Champions a continuous improvement culture and advances the organization toward a Center of Excellence Key Responsibilities: A. Team strategy Demonstrate strategic thinking by independently defining team priorities. Engage regularly with stakeholders to develop, align, and adapt strategy based on evolving business needs and expectations. Lead change initiatives within the CoE categories and the broader supply chain organization. Translate strategy into clear, actionable plans for the team · Strengthen the Supply Chain CoE’s position through effective collaboration and execution by the Sourcing CoE Category managers in team for relevant categories managed . B. Core (functional) skills Lead and execute the Direct Materials Sourcing excellence workstream for key commodities as Copper , Aluminum , Steel Raw & Fabrication, Heat Exchangers , Casting , forging & Machining having front-end accountability for delivering cost savings (productivity) and other CoE KPIs Possess strong expertise in spend analytics, RFQs, contracting, value engineering, should costing, and negotiation Bring sourcing experience in key commodities mentioned above Collaborate closely with Global Commodity Managers, and business stakeholders to identify needs and streamline processes Responsible for establishing and maintaining service level agreements for each customer and activity and leading Performance enhancement reviews C. People management Excellent people management with empathetic leadership; proven experience managing teams of 4-5 members Results-driven with a strong sense of accountability for self and others Skilled in program and change management Exceptional influencing and negotiation abilities across all organizational levels Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Collaborative team player, working effectively across Carrier entities to deliver projects Self-motivated and self-directed with a strong sense of urgency and customer focus Committed to developing and nurturing talent Requirements B.E. from a premier institute (mandatory); MBA from a reputed institute preferred 19+ years of supply chain management experience, with essential exposure to CoE environments Strong core sourcing expertise Active collaboration with Engineering teams on new product development and VA/VE project execution Strong process orientation Benefits We offer a competitive total rewards package that may include other benefits and well‑being programs.
