Description
The Manager – SCM (Material Planning) will be responsible for end-to-end material planning, procurement process oversight, and ensuring timely availability of materials to meet production schedules. The role requires strong expertise in SAP-MM, demand and supply planning, inventory control, and cross-functional collaboration to support efficient and cost-effective operations. Key Roles & Responsibilities SAP & Procurement Process Manage and operate SAP-MM modules with 7–8 years of hands-on experience in material management. Oversee the complete Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycle including PR creation, PO management, GR/IR, and vendor payments. Conduct regular reviews of Open Purchase Orders (POs) and Open Purchase Requisitions (PRs), ensuring timely closures and follow-ups. Implement robust material tracking mechanisms to enhance visibility and reduce delays. Planning & Fulfillment Work closely with Demand & Supply Planners to develop a reliable fulfilment plan aligned with S&OP volumes and Master Production Schedule (MPS). Execute effective demand planning to support monthly and weekly production commitments. Lead and drive production planning activities through ERP, ensuring data accuracy and adherence to planning cycles. Demonstrate strong understanding of MTO (Make-to-Order) and MTS (Make-to-Stock) material classifications. Forecasting & Digital Initiatives Monitor and track forecasting accuracy, ensuring continuous improvement in forecast reliability. Support digitization initiatives, including working knowledge of RPA (Robotic Process Automation) and Tableau dashboards. Inventory Management Manage end-to-end inventory control, including Gross Inventory, Net Inventory, and Inventory Days. Drive initiatives to optimize inventory levels without impacting production continuity. Collaborate with Sourcing and Procurement teams to ensure timely PIR (Purchase Info Record) updates and accuracy. Collaboration & Communication Work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to ensure a smooth supply chain flow. Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills to ensure clear, timely, and professional interactions. Act as a team player, fostering strong relationships and effective networking across departments and with suppliers. What's in it for you: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electrical or related field. 7–10 years of experience in Material Planning / Supply Chain Management, with strong SAP-MM expertise. Proven experience in demand planning, production planning, and inventory management. Exposure to digital tools such as RPA and Tableau is preferred.
