Champion the mission: We make it easy for Ford and Lincoln technicians to accurately and efficiently load and configure the required vehicle software. Define the Now / Near / Far strategy and a multi-year roadmap for module programming across vehicle architectures (legacy and future platforms). Lead, mentor, and develop a large organization of approximately 60 individuals in multiple time zones and countries (US, UK, India, Mexico); which includes both Ford employees and purchased service/contract staff. Build a collaborative, accountable culture focused on high-quality, field-proven solutions; own hiring decisions, performance management, career paths, and annual development plans. Drive organizational clarity: define team structure, roles, and responsibilities to ensure 24x7 operational coverage and predictable delivery across time zones. Manage departmental budget planning (annual and 5-year plans), vendor spend, and supplier performance metrics. Coach leaders to handle competing priorities and ensure resilient global coverage. Minimum BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience). 7+ years of leadership experience managing technical/global delivery teams and vendor partners; demonstrated experience leading teams of 40+ people 3+ years delivering production dealer diagnostic/module programming solutions that reached field deployment. Strong program management skills — proven ability to manage multiple concurrent technical projects and complex release schedules. Practical knowledge of vehicle communication protocols ,Controller area network(CAN) and Diagnostic over internet protocol(DoIP) Working knowledge of software release processes and related systems Excellent communication skills: able to present complex technical/operational issues to executives and craft tactical plans for engineers. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong vendor and cross-functional relationships. Experience authoring or reviewing OTX scripts and exposure to diagnostic scripting frameworks. Experience with Agile software development methodologies Prior experience supporting joint-venture vehicles or multi-brand technical integrations. Experience with ford systems (examples: VADR, ORFIN, IVS, GVMS) Experience with both USB and OBD/CAN-based programming preferred Familiarity with Ford-specific vehicle network specifications for diagnostic & programming messages. Advanced degree (MS) or MBA a plus. Implement software bill of material quality measures for software-data alarms (including plant metrics within LQOS (Launch Quality Operating System) Deliver 100% Programming solutions Globally at New Vehicle Launch OK to Buy date (OKTB); Ensure dealer readiness/capability. Establish, monitor and report KPIs and SLAs and lead continuous improvement to quality, deployment success rates, and time-to-repair metrics. Work with PD Data Owners and Corporate IT to ensure back-end data accuracy and robust end-to-end data delivery (systems such as FDSP, IVS, GVMS, VADR, ORFIN, FENIX, FORCE) Established and active employee resource groups
