About the Role We are seeking an experienced manager with strong Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and DevOps expertise to lead one of our Platform Engineering teams. The ideal candidate combines hands-on technical knowledge with leadership experience, driving operational excellence, reliability, and automation across customer environments on the cloud. This role is critical in ensuring our environments are stable, secure, and scalable. You will manage and mentor a team of SREs/DevOps engineers, while collaborating closely with R&D, DevOps, and GS teams to improve system reliability, performance, and operational processes. Responsibilities Team Leadership & Management Lead, mentor, and develop a team of SRE and DevOps engineers. Define team objectives, responsibilities, and career growth plans. Ensure smooth collaboration between DevOps, R&D, and GS. . Participate in recruitment and onboarding for the SRE/DevOps organization. Environment & Deployment Ownership Oversee management of product environments on Azure Cloud. Supervise release deployments, upgrades, hotfixes, and environment provisioning. Ensure high reliability and availability through proactive monitoring and automation. Drive environment consistency and compliance across multiple customers. Reliability, Monitoring & Incident Management Guide the setup and maintenance of observability stacks (metrics, logging, tracing). Lead incident management: triage, mitigation, root cause analysis, and follow-up actions. Establish SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets in collaboration with R&D and DevOps. Improve MTTR and MTTD through process optimization and automation. Automation, Performance & Security Champion automation of operational tasks and processes using IaC (Terraform, Ansible, Helm, etc.) and pipelines. Oversee performance monitoring, capacity planning, and environment optimization. Ensure security best practices, vulnerability remediation, and access controls are enforced. Cross-Team Collaboration Act as a liaison between DevOps, R&D, and GS to deliver reliable experiences. Promote knowledge sharing, documentation, and best practices within and across teams. Requirements Technical Experience 5+ years of hands-on DevOps/SRE experience. Strong experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration. Expertise with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure Pipelines, GitHub Actions, etc.). Experience with cloud platforms (Azure required; GCP/AWS a plus). Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, etc.) and IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, Helm). Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.) and distributed systems. Managerial Experience Minimum 3 years of managing SRE/DevOps or engineering teams. Experience mentoring engineers and driving operational excellence. Ability to define team processes, KPIs, and standards. Soft Skills Strong ownership and accountability mindset. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
