As a Senior Manager, Software Development & Engineering, you will lead a talented and diverse team of developers, driving innovation and excellence in technology solutions for our clients. As a Senior Manager, Software Development & Engineering, you will lead and mentor a high-performing, diverse team of software engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement. You’ll oversee the full software development lifecycle, championing Agile and DevOps practices while ensuring effective coordination and communication across product areas. Your role will involve hands-on technical leadership in .Net, Python and Java, close collaboration with Product Owners, End-Users, and Partners, and a commitment to upholding Schwab’s values of diversity, equity, and inclusion. You will encourage team members to share ideas, challenge assumptions, and support their professional growth and well-being through ongoing feedback and development opportunities. The role requires hands-on development, building a client driven technology organization. The role entails full Agile and DevOps model in partnership of SAMS business—actively working with Product Owners, End-Users, Partners—in managing requirements, design, coding, testing (unit and functional), deployment and post-release support. What you have Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications in relevant fields are a plus. 3+ years in Asset and Wealth Management. 12+ years of professional software development experience, including hands-on work with .Net, Python and Java, full-stack development, and quantitative application design patterns. Experience in the financial industry (3+ years preferred). Develop high-performance secure Rest API, WCF and Web Services and Micro-Services in Cloud (Azure and PCF) by using .Net Core, ASP.Net MVC Develop backend services and databases using Dapper, Entity Framework, and ADO.Net; Develop front-end web application using Angular, Typescript, Javascript, JQuery, HTML5, CSS, Ajax, Web Forms and Silverlight. Develop bulk data extract, transform, and load processes using Informatica Development and QUARTZ DLL. Develop robust Unit Testing Frameworks using xUnit, Jasmin and mocking frameworks. Develop automated build and deployment process by using GIT, Bit Bucket and Bamboo. Develop FTP module with Winscp & Alex ftp, and FTP Security handled through certificates. Proven experience leading medium-sized teams in Agile settings, driving cross-functional initiatives, and fostering collaboration. Strategic thinking, resource management, and the ability to synthesize complex data to develop strategic insights. Designs and optimizes advanced support, security, and QA processes to ensure functionality, compliance, and operational reliability. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to deliver high-quality results with minimal supervision. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to express ideas clearly, foster open dialogue, and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion. In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
