REQUIREMENTS

  • University degree in a relevant technical domain (Engineering or Computer Science).
  • Minimum of eight years of experience in a management position.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

The Senior Manager, Software engineering – Aircraft Simulation is a gifted people leader, technically strong and a change-agent. This individual connects CAE’s business needs to the CAE product and ensures operational excellence using management best practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND MAIN ACTIVITIES:

  • Flawless execution of all projects, through implementation of Agile best practices and performance management methodology.
  • Transformation of the software development practices by integrating the DevOps methodology.
  • Development of a collaborative, stimulating work environment, promoting a culture of change and continuous improvement in the organization.
  • Management of budgets.
  • Development of a strong leadership succession plan.
  • Development of a good technical talent pipeline.
  • Be a leadership coach to your team.
  • Development of KPI’s and scorecard to drive improvement through continuous improvement methods.
  • Drive a “Design/Execute to cost” philosophy.
  • Drive a proactive behavior leading to manage risks.
