What you’ll achieve As a Senior Software Engineering Manager, you will direct the activities of a software development function for software application enhancements and new products. You will work with internal and external partners on the analysis, design, programming, debugging and modification of computer programs. You will: Directs the strategic and operational objectives of their organization • Provides full design, planning, configuration, documentation, deployment, and top-level support ownership of relevant technologies • Actively engages in Scrum Events; collaborates with the team in backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, standups, and retrospectives. Delivers products within budget, schedule, and quality guidelines • Drives idea generation for new software products or the next version of an existing product • Protects Intellectual property by working with appropriate legal elements (e.g. procurement, patents, open source) Take the first step towards your dream career Every Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table. Here’s what we are looking for with this role: Essential Requirements Manages the organization’s staffing needs, guides the career development, and drives performance and pay discussions of team members 12 to 15 years of relevant experience in across all phases of the software development lifecycle: feasibility analysis, design, implementation, integration, testing, and delivery. Strong technical experience in one or more of the following: Linux kernel, SCSI, SCST, Fibre Channel, Virtual Tape Libraries, or I/O device drivers. Strong knowledge of RAID, NVMe, persistent memory technologies and hardware-assisted compression. Proficiency in one or more programming languages: C, Python, or Go, along with practical experience using Git for version control and JIRA for issue tracking. Desirable Requirements 4 years managerial experience & Background in the storage domain, including SAN, NAS, and virtualization technologies. Experience developing software for software-defined infrastructure, including hybrid cloud, on-premises, and multi-cloud environments.
