Description

OVERVIEW:

Subject matter expert in terms of site environment, health, safety and security matters. Responsible to ensure
overall site EHS&S compliance with during project and operations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Serve as subject matter expert and is responsible for site matters related to environment, heath, safety and security.
  • Provide oversight on EHS&S matters for capital projects.
  • Responsible for ensuring successful outcome during regulatory inspections (e.g. HSA, NEA, SCDF, SPF, MOM, etc) within department.
  • Lead / support permits and regulatory licensing (e.g. P&FM, HS, etc) applications for capital projects.
  • Setup / maintain EHS&S tracking systems like CAPA, LTI, Near Misses, investigations, Safety suggestions, EHS committee, safety inspections, ERP, etc.
  • Draft / review / approve policies, SOPs, forms, and EHS&S related documents.
  • Conduct trainings for new procedures and new hires.
  • Escalate environmental, safety, health and security risks to reporting Management.
  • Accountable for budgeting within own discipline (EHS&S).
  • Drive EHS&S and sustainability initiatives.
  • Lead appropriate EHS&S measures to ensure employee health and safety during a pandemic.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Possess diploma in technical field of study with minimum of 12 years of working experience or degree with minimum of 8 years work experience.
  • Preferred with at least 3 years of working experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer with Ministry of Manpower.
  • Certified fire safety manager.
  • Qualified to lead risk assessments.
  • Must be able to lead, facilitate and participate in discussions.
  • Able to draft, review or approve GMP documents.
  • Provide leadership and technical stewardship for peers and junior staff.
  • Experience in handling both project and operational EHS&S.
  • Working knowledge of quality systems like change controls, deviations and CAPAs.
