We are currently assisting a leading provider of specialist healthcare services in the search for an experienced Manager to lead a Mental Health unit in Stourbridge, West Midlands. The role holder will be Registered Manager for an 18 bed care home for Adults with a range of mental health needs, including dementia and challenging behaviours.
The home is operated by a large, well established care group, with a diversified portfolio of healthcare services, spanning Elderly Care, Learning Disabilities, Mental Health and Brain Injuries.
We are ideally looking for a Nurse qualified manager, however those with prior CQC Registration and significant experience within a Mental Health setting will be considered.

SKILLS & BEHAVIOURS REQUIRED:

· You must be an experienced healthcare manager, with prior CQC registration for a Residential service.
· Have significant experience in the leadership of care staff within a Learning Disabilities setting.
· Someone who shares the client’s passion and dedication for making every day special for their residents.
· A natural educator with leadership experience, you will constantly look for ways to share knowledge of best practice with those around you.
· A good time manager, who can prioritise effectively and work independently.

Responsibilities

· In this role you will play a key role in the overall management of the home in line with the company policies and industry best practice.
· You will have a strategic input into the development of the service, including potential expansion or remodelling of existing, disused buildings on-site.
· You will be responsible for ensuring all CQC criteria are met.
· You will work closely with local commissioners to help deliver on occupancy targets.
· You will play an important role in overseeing, hiring and training all ancilliary and Support worker staff.
· You will play a key role within the home, taking the time to get to know your residents and their families, so you can ensure the best possible, person centred care is delivered.
· You will be ultimately responsible for ensuring care plans are updated and accurately maintained for auditing purposes, maintaining clear, precise and up-to-date medication records for all the patients.
· You will have responsibility for instilling the key values of choice, dignity and respect into all aspects and areas of care within the homes, ensuring the best care possible is provided at all times.
· With a depth of clinical knowledge and experience you will be expected to guide and teach other members of the care team in a supportive yet authoritative manor.
· As part of your role you will be expected to be aware of our competitors and general best practice in the provision of care, to help keep the homes at the forefront of the care market.
· Forging and maintaining close relationships with our customers, you will act as an ambassador for the company brand and play an important part in raising the hospitals profile.
