The Senior Manager, Strategy Development will function as an individual contributor, while collaborating with colleagues to identify growth drivers for Bioprpcessing. The role will engage across functions, including marketing, franchise, R&D, commercial and operations, to develop and support the execution of the Process Solutions (PS) strategy.
Responsibilities include developing data-driven methodologies to gain deep insights into current and future market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs. The individual will effectively communicate key findings to senior business leaders, build credibility, trust, and respect throughout the organization as a genuine thought partner. The ability to balance multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines is essential. Given its high visibility to senior management, this position offers excellent opportunities for career advancement.
This role is based in Singapore, and reports to the Head of Strategy Development of Process Solutions (PS).

Your Role:

  • Collaborate closely with franchise leaders to support the strategy development process within PS.
  • Identify market, industry, customer trends and translate into actionable insights for Bio Processing.
  • Define and prioritize emerging growth opportunities while articulate strategic options for Bio Processing.
  • Create business plans for new initiatives, including financial modelling.
  • Partner with colleagues in market intelligence, strategy integration and operationalization to ensure plans are fact-based and actionable.
  • Support the Business Development team to support M&A prioritization and target assessment.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance and Senior Management to ensure alignment of vision.
  • Lead or assist in select strategic projects across functions and the Process Solutions business, utilizing both internal and external resources, including war-gaming and workshops.
  • Develop strategic content and analysis to support capital markets initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance and Senior Management to ensure consistent and effective messaging to investors.
  • Build strong relationships across Life Science organization to ensure alignment with overall objectives and a clear understanding of our business.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in life science, engineering or related field; an advanced degree in a quantitative discipline (MBA, Masters or PhD) preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of working experience in strategy development, including 3-5 years in management consulting experience, ideally at a top tier firm.
  • Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical/life science sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Process Solutions market and business, along with superior analytical skills.
  • Proven experience in strategic planning and analysis required through a combination of consulting and strategy roles, preferably in Bioprocessing.
  • Strong business acumen, analytical abilities, and communication skills; familiarity with financial statements is a plus
  • Ability to simplify complex analyses to the appropriate level of detail with a proactive approach.
  • Effective communication and influencing skills to engage with diverse audiences at all organizational levels.
  • Strong project management and facilitation skills, including experience leading cross-functional matrix teams.
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to multitask, manage time effectively, handle uncertainty, and work under pressure with minimal guidance.
  • Experience with digital analytics (e.g. Tableau) preferred.
  • Ability to travel 10-20% including international trips.
