Create your best future aa a Senior Manager, Strategy and Emerging Technology! What’s the role? This position is responsible for advancing the Technology strategy by supporting its development, articulation, and execution. The position plays a critical role in monitoring and responding to external technology trends, and in engaging with the fintech and emerging technology ecosystem to inform strategic decision‑making across the Group. Key responsibilities include: Support the development, ongoing refinement, and communication of the Group’s Technology strategy. Develop high‑quality thought leadership on emerging and disruptive technologies and evolving business–technology models, assessing their relevance and potential application within the Group. Monitor external technology trends and market developments, providing insight and guidance on strategic positioning and recommended responses. Engage with the broader fintech and emerging technology ecosystem to identify opportunities, risks, and partnerships. Prepare clear, compelling materials for executive leadership and Board‑level discussions, translating complex technology concepts into strategic insights. What do I need? To be successful in this role you should be a strong communicator with the ability to build excellent professional relationships with stakeholders of various seniority. Experience working on strategy, technology or digital initiatives. You will have a grasp of, and keen interest in, new technologies (AI, Quantum etc.) and an appreciation of how they can be applied for the benefit of Westpac and its customers. Why join us?
