EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPM, CPSM) preferred. Normally requires a minimum of eight (8) years related and progressively responsible experience in IT buying, purchasing, vendor management, or finance.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Proven experience in technology sourcing, vendor management, and procurement, preferably within the context of mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
  • Strong knowledge of technology contracts, including software, hardware, cloud, services, and telecom.
  • Exceptional multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple deals and priorities simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness in all aspects of the role.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and proactively address challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to leverage data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Familiarity with drafting and negotiating Transition Service Agreements (TSAs) is highly desirable.
  • Deep understanding of the sourcing process and procurement best practices.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for technology sourcing and vendor management activities during all phases of the MA&D lifecycle, from due diligence to post-acquisition integration.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify synergies with acquisition targets and provide clear direction on potential risks and opportunities.
  • Conduct detailed reviews of all technology contracts, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in drafting and negotiating Transition Service Agreements (TSAs) to ensure a smooth transition of technology services during the divestiture or acquisition process.
  • Oversee the migration of all contractual relationships to the buyer, ensuring accuracy and completeness during the transition process.
  • Lead and manage multiple MA&D deals simultaneously, maintaining a focus on detail, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and partners to foster collaboration and alignment across functions.
  • Leverage a deep understanding of technology contracts, including software, hardware, cloud, services, and telecom, to provide strategic insights and ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Develop and implement strategies that align with the organization’s procurement policies and long-term goals, including sustainability and cost efficiency.
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on MA&D activities, including progress, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Act as a self-starter, taking initiative in a dynamic environment where priorities may shift rapidly.
  • Support the negotiation of contracts and sourcing relationships to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Analyze spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive efficiency in procurement operations.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of market trends, emerging technologies, and vendor capabilities to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure that all post-acquisition integration activities are executed effectively, including vendor onboarding, contract management, and operational efficiency improvements.
