Job Description

Reporting to the West Region Transportation Regional Business Line Leader (RBLL), this role will manage the achievement of growth objectives within the regional business line. This role will focus on transportation advisory in Michigan and throughout the Region. More specifically, the role will focus on the following:

  • Work in partnership with the RBLL, regional business line Director of Operations, and other key regional business line leadership to shape, inform, communicate, and implement the strategy around transportation advisory in Greater West.
  • Provide strategic input into major pursuits (ECPs and Tier 2s), as well as pursuits identified as a key part of growing a particular market sector:
  • Capture Plan / Ready-to-Win / Green Light Analysis
  • Teaming partners and competitors
  • Win themes
  • Community engagement and outreach
  • PR and social media
  • Proposal response
  • Interview
  • Work with Client Account Managers (CAMs) in the regional business line for the ongoing development, maintenance, and implementation of their client account plans and delivery of their growth targets and objectives; particularly focused on advisory.
  • Support operational leadership within the regional business line (e.g., Division Managers, Department Managers, Managing Principals, Practice Leaders) in converting strategic plans into actionable tactics to achieve growth targets and objectives.
  • Help prioritize existing clients and identify potential clients, and develop and coordinate strategies for outreach and retention
  • Provide input on regional presence at national conferences
  • Provide input into professional development and continuing education programs that are strategic in nature
  • Engage and represent AECOM in professional and community organizations, boards, committees, etc.
  • Will win, guide, manage, and lead high profile projects and programs that involve multidisciplinary collaboration and client facing responsibilities.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of extensive experience in a relevant Engineering field (i.e. Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, etc.) and/ or Project or Construction Management or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including at least 4 years of leadership

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven track record of leading the capture of major infrastructure projects or programs
  • Recognized for leadership in design, technical, delivery, or marketing
  • Board memberships
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Transportation Engineering
  • 15+ years of progressive experience designing and delivering projects
  • 5 years’ experience with proposal and business development, client presentations and relationship development
  • Project Management experience in transportation projects
