We are currently looking for a Senior Tax Manager to bolster our growing tax team. There are opportunities for further progression for the right candidate.
You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the firm’s tax function, ensuring compliance, delivering strategic tax planning, and driving business development initiatives. You will work closely with our clients, providing expert advice on complex tax matters.
We specialise in providing trust and estate services for individuals and we are looking for a candidate with experience in this area.

Responsibilities
  1. Tax Advisory & Compliance
  • Provide high-level tax advisory services and tax planning.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of personal and trust tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Keep up to date with changes in tax legislation and ensure the firm and its clients are informed of relevant developments.
  1. Trust & Estate Planning Services
  • Lead the firm’s trust and estate tax services, providing specialist advice to individuals and families.
  • Assist clients with trust structuring, inheritance tax planning, and wealth preservation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with trust tax regulations, including the preparation and review of trust tax returns.
  • Build relationships with solicitors and wealth managers to develop the firm’s trust and estate services.
  1. Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of tax professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Manage workflow within the tax department, ensuring efficiency and high standards of service.
  • Provide technical training and updates to the wider firm on tax-related matters.
  1. Business Development & Client Management
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing proactive and strategic tax advice.
  • Identify opportunities for additional services and cross-selling within the firm.
  • Support the firm’s growth strategy by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Represent the firm at networking events.

The role is based in our Cheltenham Office, but with occasional travel to our offices in Pershore, Ledbury and Twyning.
The role is full-time. However, we would consider applicants wishing to work 5 days per week but shorter hours (such as 9am to 3pm).
Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 (depending on experience)
