The annual base pay (or hourly rate of compensation) for this position ranges from $127,553.60 - 191,330.40 USD as an annual base salary. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Lead timely and accurate delivery of US international tax aspects of federal corporate and partnership compliance, including GILTI, FDII, BEAT, Subpart F, Section 861, and foreign tax credits.
  • Work with our outsource providers to ensure our U.S. international tax returns (Forms 5471, 5472, 8865, 8858, 1118, etc.) and related disclosures are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Deliver the U.S. international tax aspects within our quarterly provision and reporting processes, ensuring these are materially accurate and align with SOX governance, including communicating with our auditors.
  • Provide input into our forecasting and modelling processes, including both accounting and cash tax implications of law change, business change or Global Tax Strategy and Partnering projects.
  • Research, interpret, and communicate changes in U.S. and international tax laws & regulations. Provide regular training and knowledge-sharing sessions for team members and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist the Tax Controversy team with drafting responses to IRS audits or inquiries related to U.S. international tax matters, including preparation of supporting documentation.
  • Liaise with the UK and Swedish tax teams to ensure reporting submissions are made timely and accurately.
  • Support with other allocated elements of U.S. federal tax compliance and reporting.
  • Embed culture of continuous process improvement and automation.
  • Play leadership role within U.S. tax team and coach and develop team members.

ESSENTIAL FOR THE ROLE

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 6-10 years of tax provision and compliance experience in a large corporation or large accounting firm, with a focus on U.S. international tax.
  • Deep technical knowledge of U.S. international tax code and regulations with ability to research and provide insight to communicate and influence senior leaders.
  • Knowledge of both federal corporate and partnership tax return filings.
  • Knowledge of tax accounting principles, preferably IFRS, and federal and state tax laws.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once and to meet targeted due dates.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal skills to brief Senior Tax Management on pertinent tax issues.
  • Positive interpersonal skills & motivation.
  • Proven ability to lead a project and to timely complete a given task by a fixed due date.

DESIRABLE FOR THE ROLE

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration.
  • Master’s degree in Taxation or JD/LLM.
  • 3 years or more of U.S. international tax experience.
  • CPA certification or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Corptax and Longview software preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of RIA research tools.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP
