SUMMARY OF JOB
Our Corporate Accounting team is hiring a new leader to become the Senior Manager of Retail Rental Revenue and Inventory Accounting. This role reports to the Senior Director of Revenue and Inventory Accounting.
As a member of the Vail Resorts Finance organization, the Accounting Team is committed to Building Leaders and Driving Value. The Retail Rental Revenue and Inventory Accounting Senior Manager role is integral in leading our month end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes ensuring accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and compliance to internal controls. The Senior Manager is a crucial resource providing leadership and partnering with various teams within the finance organization, IT, field operations, and 3rd party vendor support to provide a seamless guest experience. This individual will support the accounting department from an operational and accounting management perspective. Responsibilities include journal entry preparation and review, account reconciliation and analysis, compliance with SOX requirements and ability to assist with SOX walk-throughs. This manager will have 2 direct reports and partner with the offshore team ensuring all company retail rental and inventory activities are accurate and accounted for timely. Other responsibilities will include an assortment of monthly and quarter end support which include KPI and performance based metrics. Annually, this role will ensure a successful physical inventory count across the majority of our retail rental stores. Additionally, provide subject matter expert guidance and functional leadership for integration of mergers & acquisitions, implementation & enhancements of systems and ad-hoc projects. This job requires the ability to meet deadlines, keen attention to detail, act as an agent of change and process improvement minded.
