POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Manager, Web Infrastructure Engineering is a strategic and technical leadership role responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise-level traffic management and content delivery solutions. This individual will lead a team of engineers and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the availability, performance, and security of critical infrastructure components, including F5 appliances, Akamai CDN, DNS, and certificate management systems.
The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise in F5 BIG-IP (LTM, GTM, ASM), Akamai technologies, and automation tools, along with a strong background in vendor management, project leadership, and process improvement. This role requires a hands-on leader who can architect complex solutions, drive operational excellence, and mentor technical teams in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. The Senior Manager will also play a key role in strategic planning, compliance, and the continuous evolution of infrastructure services to support business growth and innovation.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing technical teams
- Deep technical expertise in F5 BIG-IP technologies, including LTM, GTM, and ASM
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage vendor relationships, including contracts, negotiations, and service level agreements
- Experience managing multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on rapid issue resolution
- Hands-on experience with Akamai CDN property configurations and SSL/TLS certificate management
- Experience with domain registration and DNS management
- Strategic planning capabilities and a track record of driving process improvements
- Knowledge of security and compliance standards related to infrastructure and application delivery
- Familiarity with ITIL-based change and incident management processes
- Experience with automation tools and technologies such as Terraform, AS3, and PowerShell
- Consistently track record of solving complex problems quickly and effectively
