Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, the SMD, Consumer Growth leads strategic initiatives to drive growth across HSA Bank’s Consumer business. This includes traditional Consumer Retail segments under the Direct to Consumer “DTC” channel (Retail, Free Agents and Orphans) and emerging consumer segments that will benefit from new products and services such as Medicare, Medicare Advantage (‘MA’), and ancillary insurance products. The role collaborates closely with Marketing, Product Management, and Operations to align efforts with the bank’s strategic objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute customer acquisition, deposit growth, and customer retention strategies for Consumer business via DTC channel
  • Establish and obtain revenue and profitability goals for the Consumer Retail segments
  • Promote products to newly eligible population in the health insurance marketplace (e.g., Bronze plan enrollees)
  • Oversee internal insurance agency operations (Webster Servicing LLC), ensuring successful cross-selling of Medicare plans to relevant customer base
  • Implement go-to-market strategies for new and existing Consumer products
  • Develop appropriate lead/lag performance metrics to measure and report on business objective achievement
  • Provide market insights to inform future product development
  • Represent the bank at industry events and meetings when appropriate

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 10–15+ years in Sales or Account Management, with a focus on consumer markets
  • Proven success in growing businesses within complex product environments
  • Deep expertise in Insurance and Employee Benefits, including:
  • Health insurance and benefit products
