Your Mission As a Manual QA Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring that every release of CUJU delivers a smooth and delightful experience to our users. You will be responsible for testing new features, preventing and identifying bugs, as well as validating user flows across Android and iOS platforms. You’ll collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers to ensure each release meets the highest standards of usability, performance, and reliability. Tasks Test Planning & Execution Design and maintain detailed test cases derived from business and technical requirements. Execute manual tests for mobile applications (iOS and Android) and backend APIs. Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing throughout all stages of a release cycle. Validate app behavior across various devices, OS versions, and network conditions. Create clear and detailed bug reports, test results, Quality Ownership Verify UI/UX consistency, responsiveness, and edge case handling. Take end-to-end ownership of the testing process within the release lifecycle. Collaborate with developers to reproduce, isolate, and document issues. Work closely with the Product and Design teams to understand requirements and acceptance criteria. Communicate test results clearly to developers, product owners, and other stakeholders. Ensure every release cycle meets quality gates before deployment. Champion objective and proactive feedback on product design, usability, and functionality. Foster shift-left testing practices and establish quality gates within the team Collaborate in system architecture discussions to embed testability and quality considerations early in the design process Continuous Improvement Contribute to the QA process and documentation, identifying areas for improvement. Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. Support the setup of test environments, data, and device configurations. Collaborate with automation engineers to transition repeatable test cases to automated coverage over time. Requirements 5+ years of hands-on experience in manual QA testing for mobile applications (iOS & Android). Strong knowledge of mobile testing methodologies, tools, and best practices. Familiarity with bug tracking systems (Jira, or similar). Experience testing on real devices and using emulators/simulators. Understanding of mobile app release cycles, including TestFlight and Google Play internal testing. Good understanding of API testing (Postman or similar). Strong attention to detail and user perspective. Excellent documentation and communication skills in English. Proactive problem-solver with a collaborative mindset. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment. Nice to Have Experience with mobile test automation frameworks (Appium (Java Experience with API testing frameworks (Playwright (Typescript)) Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and mobile build workflows. Familiarity with analytics tools (Firebase, Crashlytics). Passion for sports, data-driven products, or gamified mobile experiences.
