THE OPPORTUNITY

As a global leader in Cardiac Rhythm Technologies, we focus on innovative technologies that can improve the way doctors treat people with heart arrhythmias, or irregular heartbeats.
This position works out of our MINNETONKA, MN location in the CARDIAC RHYTHM MANAGEMENT division.
We are seeking a high caliber, motivated, self-driven leader to join our manufacturing engineering team where delivery catheter systems are manufactured as part of Abbott’s Cardiac Rhythm Management business unit.
Individuals in this role will work on manufacturing sustaining products as well as new product launches. They will be supporting the operations team as a front-line engineer working with assemblers and troubleshooting equipment and process issues. Additionally, this position will manage projects aimed towards designing and developing manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures to meet daily production schedules while enhancing productivity and product quality.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

  • Mechanical, Chemical, Biomedical or any engineering or technical degree or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum 5 years manufacturing engineering experience. Prior medical device manufacturing engineering experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills
  • Demonstrated leadership capability in team settings
  • Ability to lead and motivate peers, drive change and problem solve with creativity.
  • Ability to travel approximately 5%, including internationally.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Medical device experience preferred, but not required
