The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer located in Berkeley, MO.

Position Overview: We are looking for Manufacturing Engineers, with expertise in airplane subsystems, production readiness and composite fabrication. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient production of our world-class aerospace products, including advanced platforms for our Fighter Jet programs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 9+ years of related work experience with a Bachelors OR an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE):

  • B.S. or higher in Aerospace, Civil or Mechanical Engineering
  • Composite & Metallic Fabrication, Assembly & Integration experience
  • Experience reviewing engineering models and notes
  • Experience establishing a new production build process
  • Experience supporting Production Operations
  • Experience creating an interchangeable assembly
  • Experience with LEAN
  • Experience supporting defense and/or aerospace customers (Internal & External)
  • Experience as a Lead for junior engineers
  • Experience with 3D model-based instructions
  • Experience with any of the following: Microsoft Project, Team Center, NX, IVT, CREO, MESci, VisMockup, ProModel, FlexSim, 3D Printed Parts

TYPICAL EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Level 4: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

SUMMARY PAY RANGE:

Level 4: $109,650 - $148,350
