Position Purpose
The Sr. Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and reviewing the procedures involved in manufacturing processes. They are focused on maintaining, developing, and operating manufacturing systems.

Position Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the design and the development of processes at the Plant in accordance with CSR under guidance of Manufacturing Eng Manager.
  • Responsible for designing equipment with the support of external Supplier that fulfill the processes.
  • Responsible for the commissioning of the equipment in the Plant.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing Team the partnership with Equipment Suppliers.
  • Responsible for preparing process documents (PFMEA, flowchart, work instructions, shift leader training, etc.) under guidance of Manufacturing Eng Manager.
  • Responsible for Run&Rate approval for the new line under guidance of Manufacturing Eng Manager.
  • In charge for daily improvement of the Plant running assembly and testing lines.
  • Draft Budget (OPEX/CAPEX/People) per Project.
  • Monthly Management Review with Plant Managers Team.
  • Support in preparation and during IATF Audit.
  • Support for measurement and management reporting of Plant Manufacturing Eng KPI and implementing corrective actions.
  • Continuous improvement at the Manufacturing Processes.

Position Requirements

Key Requirements

  • Mechanical Engineering or similar degree, but requisite experience will be considered.
  • 7+ years experience in similar role in Tier 1 Automotive Supplier.
  • Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office.
  • IATF 16949 CSR, APQP, ISO14001, ISO45001 knowledge.
  • Fluent in Italian and English in written and spoken.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to write technical documents.

Added Bonus If You Have

  • Automotive (manufacturing) experience, working directly for an Automotive OEM or Automotive Supplier.
  • Experience with IATF is an asset
