JOB OVERVIEW:

My client is seeking a skilled and results-driven Manufacturing Engineer to join their engineering team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in improving and optimizing our manufacturing processes, ensuring product quality, and reducing costs while maintaining a high standard of safety. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient production processes, from design through to full-scale manufacturing.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience (typically 3-5 years) in a manufacturing or production engineering role.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, assembly, welding, injection molding, etc.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other engineering tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and other manufacturing software.
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on quality.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar quality systems.
  • Experience with automated manufacturing systems.
  • Familiarity with quality control techniques (e.g., FMEA, SPC).
  • Knowledge of materials and supply chain management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve product quality and efficiency.

  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation related to processes, product specifications, and standards.
  • Develop and conduct training sessions for operators and other manufacturing personnel.

  • Support the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze production data and metrics to report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Collaborate with suppliers to source materials and components that meet quality standards.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new production lines or facilities.
  • Perform cost analysis and value engineering activities to meet cost targets.
