Description The Senior Manufacturing Finance Analyst will be a trusted partner to the executive leadership team and the broader business, providing expertise in both financial and operational analysis. The Senior Manufacturing Finance Analyst will own key reporting, forecasting, and planning processes, while leading high-impact analyses that foster growth and operational excellence. In this highly visible role reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Senior Manufacturing Finance Analyst will work alongside senior leaders from every function, developing a deep understanding of how a complex industrial business operates end to end. As a member of Polygon’s Finance & Accounting teams, the Senior Manufacturing Finance Analyst will work closely with the Finance team and CFO daily. The individual in this role will also be consistently working in small project teams with collaborators from across the business, so collaboration and a partnership mindset are key. Requirements Duties & Responsibilities Lead the creation of month-end operational and financial reporting, providing analysis and commentary on results that create insight for the executive leadership team and point to specific areas for action. Bridge between finance and operational data by understanding and producing operational metrics and linking them to financial results. Support operations leadership in analyzing business performance and recommending solutions supported by clearly applied analytical tools. Build and maintain essential reporting tools in PowerBI, ensuring that leaders across the company have access to timely and accurate data on both finance and operations. Become a trusted source for high quality data. Support the CFO as the leading analyst for the annual operating plan development process, producing both the full-year plan and five-year forecast for the CEO and Board of Directors. Drive capital allocation rigor by analyzing capital expenditures requests, quantifying returns on major investments. Help to prepare content for the Board of Directors, communicating high-level strategy with clarity and purpose. Represent the finance organization in the Executive Sales & Operations Planning monthly cadence, owning the forecasting of key financial results and helping the business remain proactive to changing market conditions Maintain core financial models both within Excel and the company’s financial planning tools (Syteline and Adaptive) to support budgeting and long-term planning. Education & Training Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred in Finance, Analytics, Data Science, or a related discipline, with a deep understanding of the three financial statements and their interrelationships preferred. Additional certifications or published projects demonstrating analytical and technical proficiency are valued but not required. Knowledge & Experience 2-4+ years of hands-on experience in corporate finance, investment banking, or a business analytics role, ideally with exposure to manufacturing or industrial operations. Have led or contributed meaningfully to annual planning and forecasting processes, using assumptions and business drivers to model realistic outcomes. Experience in manufacturing and a standard costing environment preferred but not required. Skills & Abilities Demonstrate mastery of core finance tools such as Excel-based modeling, ERP systems, and financial reporting workflows. Display an ability to deliver high-quality and executive-ready analysis in a variety of formats (Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, memos, etc.). Comfortable leveraging and learning additional tools for data collection and reporting, most notably SQL, Python for analytics, PowerBI, and Grafana. Confident in communicating insights and influencing decision-makers by translating financial analysis into clear and actionable recommendations. Exhibit a business-partner mindset, having worked across functions to analyze operational problems and shape solutions.
