Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Manager (Level L) of Mid-Body for the 787 Program passionate about engagement and accountability.
This individual will lead with compliance, safety and quality at the forefront and support & serve our team members in balance with our company goals. We are looking for someone who inspires the team at all levels to collaborate, problem solve and eliminate waste in the system. This onsite position is located in North Charleston, South Carolina.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 5+ years of experience in and/or supporting aerospace manufacturing
  • 3+ years of experience in a management role working with both direct reports and business unit leaders
  • Ability to lead through influence and work across functions & organizations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Forward thinker with experience identifying key risks and developing a mitigation plan to address & resolve
  • 3+ years of experience in lean processes and initiatives
  • 3+ years of proven strategic leadership & teammate engagement
Responsibilities
  • Cultivates a culture of excellence (effective communication, teaming process, high quality connections, trust & respect, collaboration, clear roles, adaptability, conflict management, accountability etc.) within multiple 787 manufacturing business units
  • Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures; provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, and objectives
  • Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers, and proactively leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships/partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, factory support and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Mentors and coaches leaders and teammates across the site in the art of winning together and personal/professional development
  • Drives and leads talent investment by being a sponsor, mentor, and supporting succession planning
  • Navigates through complexity and ambiguity
