Senior Manufacturing Planner Company: The Boeing Company The Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) organization is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Planner to join our team in Tukwila, Washington. The Flight Test Manufacturing planner plays a crucial role in the Boeing Test and Evaluation (BT&E) process, particularly in the context of flight test equipment and modified parts. Their responsibilities encompass several key areas: Design Review: Evaluating the designs of flight test equipment and modified parts to ensure they meet the necessary specifications and standards. Manufacturing Plan Authorship: Developing comprehensive manufacturing plans that outline the processes and resources required for production. Fabrication Sourcing: Identifying and coordinating with both internal and external sources for the fabrication of components, ensuring that all parts are produced to the required quality and specifications. Interface with Procurement: Collaborating with procurement teams to track the acquisition of materials and components, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints. Support During Build: Providing on-site support during the assembly and installation of test equipment and parts on the aircraft, ensuring that all processes are executed smoothly and efficiently. These efforts are essential for a variety of research and production programs, primarily supporting Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) and Boeing Commercial Derivatives programs. The planner's work ensures that flight tests can be conducted safely and effectively, contributing to the overall success of Boeing's aircraft development initiatives. The selected candidate will work with a cross-functional team including engineering, quality, product support, supplier management, and program management. This role is primarily first shift; however, there may be additional shift requirements to support program objectives. Position Responsibilities Include: Develops, implements and maintains various manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration Assists with development and integration of suppliers, processes, materials, data and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements Assists in reviewing supplier data to ensure manufacturing related requirements are met Identifies tooling requirements and initiates tooling orders based on manufacturing and engineering requirements Assists in tooling dispositions Investigates and resolves manufacturing related issues of limited scope Assists with producibility assessments for part or product designs Assists in providing input to design, manufacturing processes and manufacturing technologies to meet cost and schedules Develop work statements and sequencing events to support delivery commitments Assists in the review, maintenance and monitoring of internal documents Works under general supervision Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 5+ years of experience as a Manufacturing Planner 5 + years of experience working with manufacturing planning tools 5+ years of experience working in a production and/or manufacturing environment Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience in support of commercial and military customers Experience with Geometric Dimensioning &Tolerancing (GD&T) Boeing BCA/BDS/BT&E Manufacturing Engineering experience Experience in ME and processes across multiple engineering disciplines Experience with PDM, CAPP, CMES, MESci, EPARTs, GOLDesp etc. Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and specifications Drug Free Workplace: Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.
