Job Description We are seeking a highly experienced Assistant Resident Marine Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this supervisory role, you will lead and oversee marine engineering projects, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency in our operations. Supervise and coordinate marine engineering projects from conception to completion Manage and mentor a team of marine engineers, providing technical guidance and leadership Develop and implement engineering strategies to optimize ship design, construction, and maintenance processes Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations and industry standards Conduct technical reviews and risk assessments for marine engineering projects Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex engineering challenges Oversee the preparation of technical reports, specifications, and project documentation Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders to ensure project success Stay updated on the latest marine engineering technologies and industry trends Implement and maintain quality control systems for all engineering activities Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred Relevant marine engineering certifications (e.g., STCW) Minimum 10+ years of experience and delivered a Marine project as a Senior Engineer, with a proven track record in supervisory roles Advanced knowledge of marine engineering systems, ship design, construction, and maintenance Expertise in project management and team leadership Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal In-depth understanding of international maritime regulations and standards Experience with offshore structures and systems Familiarity with maritime safety and environmental regulations Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment Willingness to travel as required for project supervision and client meetings Additional Information About AECOM AECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
