YOUR MISSION AT VOI

As Senior Market Development Manager you will lead the local operations team and be accountable for building and managing effective and lasting relationships with local decision makers and public transport authorities, while working continuously to develop the operational and commercial performance in the region. In this role you will report directly to the General Manager and collaborate closely with the local Policy- and Operations team and other central stakeholders to grow Voi’s footprint in existing- and new markets. This will include:

  • Building strong relationships with key city stakeholders and local ecosystems (eg.public transport authorities, associations and other companies), leading events and driving initiatives in collaboration with the local Public Policy- and Partnerships teams to drive improved performance in line with city priorities, and increase our footprint across the existing markets.
  • Representing and presenting Voi for towns and cities considering shared micromobility services, and participating in pre-tender and tender work to ensure our position as the obvious choice for tenders.
  • Being the point of contact and continuously updating city stakeholders on contractual compliance, and the implementation and impact of solutions that address city concerns and complaints funneled from our user support teams.
  • Leveraging data, analytics in-depth market research to identify potential opportunities and improvement initiatives operational efficiency and market performance.
  • Guarding the city-level P&Ls and have a clear understanding of all the components and key drivers of the financial performance across each city.
  • Working closely with the central Growth- and Product teams on pricing- and product strategy to ensure we optimise for growth and profitability, while meeting the requirements and supporting the goals of the policy and city stakeholders.
  • Supporting and collaborating continuously with the team to proactively spot opportunities for improvement and optimisation, and lead projects to drive the necessary change.

WHAT YOU NEED TO EMBARK

We’re looking for an analytical and structured business professional, with the ability to build and manage relationships with external stakeholders, and work proactively to strengthen our footprint in a fast- and dynamic industry. In addition to this, we believe the right person has:

  • Bachelor or Master of Science in business, economics, engineering or similar
  • Professional fluency in Italian and English, both written and spoken
  • 5+ years of experience in policy, operations or strategy, in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience from negotiating and effectively manage external stakeholders, e.g. partners, government and media
  • Experience from leading complex cross-functional projects and taking multiple diverging stakeholder needs into account
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to quickly adapt the messaging to a diverse audience
  • Ability to work with analysis of large data sets using google-sheets or excel
  • Experience from working closely with a P&L, budgets, and business cases
