Description

The hospital Senior Physician Clinical Systems Specialist under direct supervision from the Market Clinical Informatics Director and according to established policies and procedures functions as an electronic medical record (EMR) system expert and is primarily responsible for training clinicians to efficiently use the Cerner EMR and to proactively provide at the elbow support to clinicians throughout the hospital. The Physician Clinical Systems Specialist will at times assist in the implementation, support, and optimization of the EMR and other clinical systems.

Responsibilities

The Physician Clinical Systems Specialist serves as an EMR expert responsible for training clinicians on the Cerner system and providing direct, at-the-elbow support. They also assist in the implementation, support, and optimization of clinical systems within the hospital environment.
