JOB SUMMARY The Senior Marketing Communications Specialist is responsible for leading the development and execution of integrated marketing communication strategies that strengthen brand positioning, drive audience engagement, and support business objectives. This role operates with a high degree of independence, managing complex campaigns and content initiatives across multiple channels. The Senior Marketing Communications Specialist partners cross-functionally to ensure consistent, high-impact messaging, leverages data to optimize performance, and contributes strategic insight to marketing planning. This position serves as a subject matter resource in marketing communications and may provide guidance to junior team members. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES STRATEGIC CONTENT DEVELOPMENT * Lead the creation of high-quality, strategic content across digital and traditional channels, including websites, social media, thought leadership, email campaigns, and press materials * Ensure messaging aligns with brand strategy, business priorities, and target audience needs * Translate complex concepts into clear, compelling narratives that drive engagement and conversion CAMPAIGN LEADERSHIP * Design, execute, and optimize integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels * Own campaign timelines, deliverables, and performance outcomes, ensuring alignment with broader marketing objectives * Partner with internal stakeholders (product, sales, leadership) to deliver cohesive and effective messaging strategies PUBLIC RELATIONS & EXTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS * Develop and maintain relationships with media, industry influencers, and external partners * Lead the development and distribution of press releases and manage media outreach efforts * Provide support and guidance for media interactions, ensuring consistent brand representation DIGITAL & SOCIAL MEDIA STRATEGY * Oversee and evolve social media strategy, driving growth, engagement, and brand visibility * Analyze engagement metrics and implement data-driven improvements to content and channel performance * Identify emerging digital trends and recommend innovative approaches to audience engagement MARKET INSIGHTS & STRATEGY CONTRIBUTION * Conduct and synthesize market research, competitive intelligence, and customer insights * Apply insights to refine messaging, positioning, and campaign effectiveness * Contribute to the development of marketing communication strategies and annual planning EVENT & PROGRAM SUPPORT * Lead communications strategy and execution for events, trade shows, and external engagements * Develop integrated promotional plans and supporting materials to maximize event impact * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution and follow-up PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT & OPTIMIZATION * Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for campaigns and communication initiatives * Analyze results and provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve effectiveness * Prepare reports and presentations summarizing outcomes for stakeholders and leadership COLLABORATION & MENTORSHIP * Act as a resource and mentor to junior marketing team members, providing guidance on best practices * Foster strong cross-functional relationships to ensure alignment and execution of communication strategies EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION * Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field * Typically 5+ years of experience in marketing communications or a related role KNOWLEDGE & SKILLSETS REQUIRED   * Advanced writing, editing, and storytelling skills with strong attention to detail * Demonstrated ability to develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns * Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, tools, and analytics platforms * Ability to interpret data and translate insights into strategic actions * Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently * Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with experience working cross-functionally * Ability to influence without authority and contribute to strategic decision-making
