Purpose:
The Senior Marketing & Events Associate works collaboratively with the Bank’s member-facing business lines in support of their business, marketing communications, and events needs. Deliverables may include communications and marketing campaigns, trade group advertisements, standalone marketing materials, and/or event plans.
The Senior Marketing & Events Associate is responsible for the planning and development of consistent and professional content for all member-facing initiatives and events. The Senior Marketing & Events Associate acts as the project manager of these requests, provides oversight to third-party vendors such as graphic designers, printers and other team resources.
The Senior Marketing & Events Associate also manages and continually enhances Member Link Website (Sitefinity) and Business Development content on Bank’s Public Website (Spinternet).
Specific Responsibilities:

Marketing
- Develops and designs marketing and business communications materials such as: email marketing campaigns; newsletters; member bulletins; print advertising; leave-behinds; product brochures; sell-sheets; and press releases.
- Researches, writes, and edits business content for use in a variety of external communications and marketing vehicles.
- Deploy member communications from CRM Marketing software and continuously enhance knowledge of software.
- Manages communication statistics to members and reports email bounces.
- Collaborates with the Internal Communications team to present a strong and consistent brand identity throughout all aspects of the Bank’s communications and marketing.
- Manages and continually enhances the Bank’s public website (Spinternet software) and Member Link website (Sitefinity software), including updating content and web analytics for Business Development.
- General editing and proofreading as needed.
Events
- Collaborates with Marketing Manager and Event Coordinator in supporting the planning and communication strategy for symposiums, workshops and webinars.
- Work with event owner(s) regarding event planning and options to ensure event meets expectations.
- Acts in conjunction with the Marketing Manager and the Event Coordinator on developing event project plans and managing event logistics including venue selection, speaker contract processing, registration, and handling event budgets.
- Assists Event Coordinator in venue set up including catering, A/V capabilities, rooms and special requests.
- Takes a leadership role in coordinating member surveys across all member-facing business units to ensure quality of survey, coordination and strategy for survey purpose, developing internal reporting for follow-up activities and communicating survey results.
- Serves as a back-up to our Event Coordinator to host member-facing Webinars.
- Measure and analyze event success metrics.
Position Requirements:
- Four-year college degree, preferably in communications, marketing or business. MBA or experience in banking or financial services marketing/communications preferred.
- 2-4 years of proven experience as a Marketing & Events Specialist or similar role.
- Design experience, including proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience with Telerik Sitefinity or similar Content Management System preferred.
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Patience and flexibility in the face of sudden changes in direction.
- Strong multitasking, organizational, interpersonal, and project management skills are critical. Ability to demonstrate initiative in project-related activities and act independently as needed.
- Experience designing and implementing email templates (using HTML, InDesign, and/or other digital design applications). Working knowledge of HTML to troubleshoot email design and formatting.
- Experience managing contractors or vendors.
- Basic understanding of print ready artwork preparation; bleeds and related color and image operations.
- Ability to attend in-person events, including but not limited to System conferences/meetings, financial services industry conventions, seminars and trade shows, member meetings, etc.) and onsite collaboration with various areas of the bank to aid in the understanding, quality and accuracy of communications and strategies.
- Ability to work full time.
- Ability to travel, as necessary, in or out of district (estimated at 20%).
- Willingness to travel overnight, which may include weekend travel.
- Ability to uphold and model the bank’s Guiding Principles.
Hiring Range: $82,000 - $97,000
Hiring ranges reflect the base salary that the Bank reasonably expects to pay for a given role and is not inclusive of annual incentive award opportunities, retirement benefits or the value of other health and welfare or other ancillary benefits. We consider many factors when determining base salaries such as individual background and experience, the competitive environment, education, particular skill set(s), and industry and institutional knowledge.
