The Role
As a Senior Marketing Manager, you will be part of self-managed Teams or Squads, utilising your marketing and communications expertise to achieve squad and platform objectives and key results for our brand in New Zealand. You will collaborate closely with fellow marketers and stakeholders in Product, Business Partnerships, Customer Engagement, Customer Strategy, Operations, Digital, and Legal to deliver marketing, engagement, and communications programs, primarily targeting existing customers and their advisers.

Some of the things you will be accountable for include:

  • Understand value propositions and positioning statements for inclusion in marketing campaigns and communications, ensuring they resonate with the target audience.
  • Utilise your marketing expertise within a cross-discipline Squad to execute effective marketing strategies and manage robust change management and communications strategies to partners and the market using multiple channels.
  • Build a reputation as the ‘go-to’ function for sharing strategic business information, advising on the best communications approach, and implementing agreed plans.
  • Develop and implement the partner communications strategy to support and add value for brokers and advisers.
  • Own and develop all external partner communications for our go-to-market brands, ensuring efficient delivery.
  • Identify and manage current and new partner communication channels to leverage value-add content across multiple channels (e.g. Social).
  • Manage the partner communications strategy and content calendar with input from various stakeholders across the business.
  • Work with SMEs across the business to leverage existing insights, such as competitor intelligence, voice of customer reporting, and previous campaign performance, to enhance future campaigns and communications.

What you bring:

  • Extensive experience in corporate affairs, communications, and/or media with multichannel content creation experience (publishing, journalism, etc.).
  • Demonstrated storytelling ability using narrative, images, and/or audio, with an understanding of how to create content that engages an audience.
  • Proficiency in both long-form content creation and real-time (immediate) content creation and distribution strategies and tactics.
  • A passion for new technology tools and their usage.
  • A marketing degree or relevant commercial degree.
  • Proven experience in end-to-end campaign management, including strategy design, campaign marketing briefing, copywriting, journey mapping, stakeholder management, execution through Martech, and campaign performance tracking.
