Job Description The Opportunity: Location: Perth, WA Full-time (38 hours per week) Workplace type: Hybrid The Senior Marketing Manager will lead a multidisciplinary creative and content team to develop brand assets, messaging, and campaigns that ensure Sea to Summit comes to mind easily and meaningfully when consumers think of outdoor gear. The remit of this role is to shape brand storytelling, oversee creative execution, and embed distinctive brand assets into everything we deliver—from global campaigns to a single social post. The outcomes of this work will be strong brand distinctiveness, consistency, and reach, making sure our logo and brand proposition evoke clear, memorable associations across all touchpoints. With offices in Australia, the USA, Europe and Asia, the strategic frameworks create in this role will act as guardrails that will allow our regional marketing teams to execute great campaigns with consistent global messaging. The role will remain closely engaged with the delivery of marketing in region, maintain regular communication with the local teams to keep them updated and inspired, while still also ensure that they remain consistently on-brand and delivering great results. This role requires close cross-functional collaboration with category, product, and eCommerce teams; but the true north is always the consumer — ensuring they know Sea to Summit, recognise Sea to Summit, and remember Sea to Summit. Responsibilities Brand Stewardship & Mental Availability Act as the steward of Sea to Summit’s distinctive brand assets—logo, visual identity and tone of voice, to ensure they are consistently and powerfully deployed across all brand expressions. Develop campaigns and assets that are designed to maximise mental availability by increasing reach, salience, and recognisability. Champion and enforce the discipline of brand consistency across all of our functions and regions, ensuring that we provide a cohesive and aligned message to consumers across the globe. Campaign Messaging & Delivery Own the development of brand and product-level messaging that ties into our distinct brand proposition. Oversee the execution of full-funnel global campaigns across social, digital, PR, and retail touchpoints. Ensure messaging clearly articulates our product superiority while remaining simple, emotional, and repeatable. Digital & Social Media Oversight Oversee strategy and execution for global social media channels, ensuring consistent brand voice and asset application. Guide content calendars, creative themes, and storytelling formats that align with both seasonal launches and retailer marketing. Ensure digital and video content consistently reinforces agreed product messaging and brand proposition. Creative Team Management Manage and lead the In-House creative team (Graphic Design, Videography and Multimedia). Drive the performance of the creative team by providing clear briefs & objectives and project timelines that still provide space and opportunity for inspired creative output. Inspire the creative process to deliver consistent, brand-aligned and consumer centric content. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work with the Go to Market team to create inspired Go to Market tools for sell-in with customers, and strong consumer facing materials to win in retail. Work with Category Management to align product benefits with consumer storytelling and messaging. Partner with eCommerce and regional marketing teams to ensure global consistency of Brand presentation and messaging while respecting separate performance objectives. Lead the development of global creative toolkits that regions can adapt without diluting brand integrity. Agency & Partner Management Manage external creative agencies and freelancers as required and ensure that any third-party outputs are consistently aligned with brand guidelines. Brand Metrics & Reporting Take a commercial delivery lens to all marketing activities, leading the business with clear view and reporting on ROI. Liaise with the Marketing Director to ensure that the monitoring of Brand Metrics is communicated through the business Use insights drawn from Brand Metrics to continually refine future messaging, brand assets, and creative priorities. Qualifications Experience 6-8+ years in brand or marketing roles, with proven success in a previous leadership capacity Preferred - previous experience working with a Global Brand and working across cultures and time-zones. Flexibility to work with these team zones will be a requirement. Proven ability to build brands by applying modern marketing principles, including mental availability, reach, and distinctiveness Experience in briefing and managing creative teams to deliver consistent, high- quality work at scale. Strong storytelling and messaging skills—especially translating product benefits into short, memorable, consumer-centric language Confident working cross-functionally and managing external creative partners Skilled in measuring brand-building effectiveness across awareness, recognition, and emotional response Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience working in the Outdoor or Sports categories. An enthusiasm for outdoor activities/lifestyle is essential.
