Description
About eShepherd eShepherd is a bold, tech-forward agritech startup backed by Gallagher - trusted worldwide since 1938. We combine startup energy with global reach, building smart livestock solutions that scale across time zones and deliver real impact. Our team is office-first, progress-over-perfection, and thrives on execution. We know tech, we get our boots dirty, and we’re here to change the game. The Opportunity: Lead agritech storytelling. We’re looking for a Senior Marketing Specialist who knows how to connect with real people – farmers, ranchers, and the teams that support them. If you’re a natural storyteller who can turn customer insights into compelling content, and you thrive in fast-moving environments where initiative matters, this is your kind of role. You’ll lead marketing efforts for eShepherd, Gallagher’s virtual fencing solution, across United States, Canada and beyond. It’s hands-on, high-visibility work with room to shape strategy and drive results. About the Role This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll bring the voice of ranchers to life through compelling content, engaging campaigns, and meaningful customer stories. You’ll get there by having real, thoughtful conversations - asking the right questions, digging deeper, and turning customer insights into stories that stick. Your focus will be United States and Canada marketing, with a touch of global content in the mix. You’ll be responsible for: Creating and managing global social media content that resonates with agricultural audiences. Coordinating webinars and events, including field days and customer site visits. Capturing and curating customer stories to showcase the value of eShepherd. Supporting marketing operations, including asset management and reporting. Collaborating across teams - from sales and R&D to design and communications. What we’re looking for We’re after someone who’s not just strategic, but also ready to roll up their sleeves, self-start, and live the brand as you contribute to its future. The ideal candidate will be: A self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and takes ownership of their success. A strong communicator who can lead conversations, ask the right questions, and translate insights into compelling narratives. Adaptable and fast-thinking, with the ability to pivot and respond to changing needs. Experienced in content creation, including field-based video and photography. Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across time zones and teams. Essential Skills & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field. Proven experience in social media management or creative communications. Background in agriculture, agritech, or adjacent industries Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects. Location & Flexibility Based in Kansas City, with hybrid work options (1–2 days remote per week). Occasional travel required for events and field content creation. Why Gallagher + eShepherd? Startup energy, global muscle. eShepherd is backed by Gallagher - trusted by ranchers and farmers worldwide since 1938. You’ll be part of a team that’s building smart agritech solutions with real-world impact. We value creativity, integrity, and collaboration - and we’re serious about growth, sustainability, and getting things done. Ready to Apply? Submit your resume and a brief portfolio or example of your storytelling work (e.g., social media posts, campaign samples, or customer stories). Shortlisted candidates may be asked to complete a brief practical task or presentation related to event planning or content creation.
