Description
Grounded in a talent-centric mindset, Maker Lab is a marketing agency designed to build decentralised technology-led agency teams, rooted in collaboration with clients from the ground up. Maker Lab’s cross-functional teams of multidisciplinary specialists are embedded into client teams across digital marketing competencies — from measurement & analytics to content production. Role Summary: Senior Marketing Specialist (Events) for our client’s product team in Indonesia. You'll manage on-ground activations, linking teams and applying business judgment to solve ambiguous problems. This role requires a meticulous, self-starter with a can-do attitude and a curiosity for AI tools. Role: Lead the end-to-end project management of all on-ground events and roaming activations in Indonesia. Manage various in-market ambassador programs, overseeing student selection, rewards, management, and expansion. Act as the primary liaison between various agencies—including social, on-ground events, and ambassador agencies—and internal stakeholders to ensure cohesive execution. Provide strategic oversight and contribute to the planning, production, and communication of all on-ground activations to ensure they are on-brand and attractive to our target audience. Manage and track the day-to-day budget for all events and programs, ensuring fiscal responsibility and alignment with overall project goals. Contribute to new product launches and updates by helping to coordinate peer-to-peer activations and in-market events. Proactively research and synthesise technology trends, competitive landscapes, and user feedback to identify new product opportunities relevant to the Indonesian market. Break down large projects into smaller, manageable tasks, ensuring clarity and execution for all stakeholders. Be willing and able to travel to manage on-ground events and activations. You: A Bachelor's degree and at least 3-4 years of experience in marketing, events, project management, or equivalent fields. Proven hands-on experience in on-ground event management is a strong plus. Fluency in both written and verbal Bahasa Indonesia is essential. Demonstrated understanding of the local Indonesian market context and consumer behaviour. A hyper-organised and accountable individual with a proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities. Strong ability to lead discussions, engage in constructive debate, and master the art of storytelling to work effectively across various functions and geographies. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with an extreme attention to detail and a commitment to creative excellence. A genuine curiosity to learn new concepts and tools, particularly around AI. Exceptional verbal and written English communication and presentation skills and - ideally - fluent in another Asian language to cover projects across APAC. Please note: due to the high volume of applications, only successful candidates will be contacted with a follow-up introduction email. If you do not receive an email from Maker Lab, your application has been unsuccessful this time around. Look out for future roles!
