Description

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring two Senior Marketing Specialists, Food on a temporary basis (term up to 15 months).
This is an exciting opportunity for a collaborative, results-oriented marketing professional to diversify their experience. The successful candidate will manage consumer centric marketing efforts for Co-op’s food business line and will see the direct results of their work on shelves, signs, and screens across the Co-op Retailing System.
This position can be a hybrid or remote opportunity. Members of this team are primarily based out of Saskatoon, SK and come into the office once a week. However, location may be flexible depending on the candidate.

WHO YOU ARE:

You are looking for a career in Marketing and:

  • Have 6-9 years of relevant progressively responsible marketing experience.
  • Have a bachelor’s degree in commerce, preferably majoring in marketing (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • Have experience in retail management or operations (considered an asset).
Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a strategic media mix including traditional and digital media to support centralized marketing campaigns and programs targeted toward food consumers.
  • Collaborate with operations, category management, food promotions, and marketing stakeholders to develop in-store experience and digital strategy.
  • Work closely with strategic business units and local Co-ops to ensure the central marketing is meeting their needs, driving business results, and is able to be efficiently and effectively executed at the local level.
  • Provide clear communication and guidance to local Co-ops in the execution of central marketing campaigns and program through effective communication, stakeholder engagement, collaboration and feedback.
  • Lead the development and implementation of various marketing initiatives including Seasonal campaigns, Store Brands Marketing strategies, and Fresh Department Marketing Strategies.
  • Measure effectiveness of marketing strategies, applying learnings to continuously improve our ability to deliver on business goals and engage with western Canadian consumers.
    Who you’ll work with :
    The successful candidates will report to the Manager, Consumer Marketing. You will work closely with other marketing professionals, commodity leaders, and local Co-op partners. Overall, this welcoming and passionate group works together to cultivate a culture of support, creativity, and cooperation.
