Head to getyourguide.careers to take the first step. Team mission We are looking for an experienced Senior Marketplace Accounting Specialist to strengthen our Marketplace Accounting team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume transaction environment and is comfortable working at the intersection of accounting, payment operations and system improvement, championing cross-functional collaboration. You should have strong analytical skills and enjoy working with large and complex data sets to keep our marketplace flows accurate, reconciled and scalable. Your mission Analytical Expertise: Perform and take ownership of account reconciliations according to month-end-close timelines and on an ad-hoc basis. This includes mass data analysis, transaction-level reviews, and resolving discrepancies across marketplace financial flows in the SAP FICA & BRIM modules. SAP FICA & BRIM Module Management: Work with high-volume accounting transactions in SAP FICA & BRIM, reviewing postings end-to-end and ensuring process accuracy. Handle large datasets, identify issues, and support improvements to our accounting flows. Operational Ownership and Innovation: Support key accounting processes within SAP S4/Hana, including documentation, testing of new features, and contributing to Business Process Designs closely supporting strategic developments on our booking platform. Help drive continuous improvements/innovations to strengthen our financial operations and controls. Accounting & Systems Support: Act as a point of contact for internal teams on accounting topics, marketplace postings, and SAP FICA/BRIM-related questions. Take ownership of Jira ticket analysis and follow-ups to ensure timely and accurate resolution. Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with SAP, Engineering, Product and other relevant stakeholders to ensure accurate accounting outcomes and smooth operational processes. Support auditors and tax consultants by preparing reconciliations, analyses, and audit evidence as needed. Your toolkit Educational Foundation: Completed business studies with a focus on accounting, or commercial vocational training with additional qualifications in financial/balance sheet accounting. Financial Experience: 4–7 years of experience in accounting or finance, ideally in a medium-sized or e-commerce/marketplace environment. Hands-on experience with SAP FICA is key. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills and confidence working with large volumes of data. Proficient in Excel; experience with Power BI, Power Query, or basic coding is a big plus. Ability to interpret SAP data and resolve complex accounting issues is essential. Team Contribution: A reliable and proactive team player who takes ownership of tasks and contributes to the team’s overall performance. Comfortable working independently and handling responsibilities without direct supervisory duties. Regulatory Know-How: Understanding of the commercial code and IFRS. Familiarity with accounting principles as they apply to SAP FICA/BRIM processes is beneficial.
