Description The Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS) is the security and law enforcement arm of the U.S. Department of State (the Department). DS is a world leader in international investigations, threat analysis, cyber security, counterterrorism, security technology, and protection of people, property, and information. Its primary mission is to provide a safe and secure environment for the conduct of U.S. foreign policy. The Office of Security Technology (ST) supports the DS mission through the application and use of appropriate technical security countermeasures. The Countermeasures Program (CMP) and Security Technology Operations (STO) divisions are operational components within ST. CMP is primarily responsible for worldwide technical countermeasures policy for the Department. Countermeasures policies enforce the protection of sensitive and classified information. CMP also manages the overseas technical surveillance countermeasures (TSCM) program. Key Accountabilities Primary responsibilities include assisting with the management and control of all Technical Surveillance Countermeasure (TSCM) inventory including tracking all shipments and updating the databases. Assists with conduct of annual inventories reconciling $45 million worth of equipment assigned to both domestic and overseas facilities. Coordinates and accounts for all shipping and receiving of equipment requested by various posts worldwide. Manages and coordinates delivery of equipment to State Department Logistical Operations Center (LOC) located in Springfield, VA. Provides logistical support to various sections of the SES and TSC Branch for frequent overseas trips. Requirements Knowledge and Skills Advanced knowledge of inventory databases such as: NEPA, Asset Management, NT Pams (TSCM), Maximo and WPAS systems is a plus. Knowledge of Government procurement systems is a plus. Must be proficient with Microsoft Suite of products including; Word, Excel, Access and E-mail business software. Must demonstrate a good attitude and ability to work as a member of a team. Position requires self-motivation and the ability to work effectively under a minimum of supervision. Must be able to multi-task efficiently, work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects and have a strong attention for detail. Experience and Education High school diploma or GED required. A minimum of five or more years of experience working as a logistician is required. Physical Requirements and Work Environment Normal office, lab or warehouse environment. Travel No travel requirement s for this position.
