About the Role
We are a growing dealership looking for an experienced hands-on mechanic who can also step up as Garage Manager. You will oversee daily workshop operations, manage one other mechanic, and ensure all repairs and servicing are completed to the highest standard. This is a great opportunity for a motivated professional who enjoys both the technical and managerial side of the automotive trade.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles
• Lead, manage, and support one other mechanic in the workshop
• Organise daily workloads and allocate tasks efficiently
• Ensure safety, quality, and productivity in all workshop operations
• Order and manage parts, tools, and consumables
• Liaise with suppliers, customers, and the dealership team to ensure smooth operations
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used
• Make quick, effective decisions to resolve issues on the job
• Contribute to continuous improvement with creative, practical solutions

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a mechanic – minimum of 8 years
• Previous supervisory or management experience is an advantage
• Ability to work independently and organise workload effectively
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Own tools preferred (advantage)
• Motivated, proactive, and customer-focused
