Position Summary The Senior Mechanic / Lead Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles and equipment. The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to manage complex repairs efficiently. Key Responsibilities Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and performance-related issues Perform advanced repairs and preventative maintenance Inspect vehicles and equipment to identify needed repairs Complete engine, transmission, suspension, brake, steering, and electrical work Use diagnostic tools and software effectively Maintain accurate repair records and communicate findings clearly Ensure all work is completed safely and according to industry standards Mentor junior technicians when needed Maintain a clean and organized work environment Test drive and verify repairs when necessary Qualifications 6+ years of professional mechanic experience preferred Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities Experience with gas and diesel engines preferred ASE certifications are a plus Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Valid driver’s license required Strong attention to detail and work ethic Welding and fabrication experience is a plus Experience with heavy-duty trucks, sewer/drain equipment, or commercial vehicles is a plus Skills & Abilities Advanced mechanical knowledge Strong electrical diagnostics experience Ability to read technical manuals and schematics Excellent problem-solving skills Strong communication and teamwork abilities Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various conditions Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Overtime opportunities Health benefits available Paid time off Company-provided uniforms Stable, long-term employment opportunity Schedule Full-time Occasional overtime or emergency service work may be required
