Job Purpose At the Senior Engineer I Career Level, the incumbent will be in charge of delivering straightforward engineering assignments (i.e. testing or drawing components / simple part sets) with available guidance, while expanding the breadth of our technical knowledge and starting to deepen your expertise. Key Accountabilities Engineering Design & Validation: Draft and test engineering solutions for assigned components or part sets. Develop engineering specifications and ensure compliance with functional safety standards. Cross-Functional Integration: Collaborate with design, testing, manufacturing, styling, and service teams to integrate parts into the vehicle. Supplier Coordination: Manage supplier relationships, coordinate requirements, and lead guest engineers or contractors. Project Support: Contribute to project schedules, coordinate meetings, and support budget and timeline adherence. Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies and implement countermeasures to improve design and development workflows. Documentation & Reporting: Prepare technical documentation for design, testing, and research activities. Professional Development: Engage in training, certifications, and industry research to build technical expertise. Qualifications, Experience, and Skills A Bachelors level degree / diploma, with specialization in, e.g. - Mechanical / Bio-mechanical, Aero, or Automotive Engineering, Industrial Design or equivalent relevant industry experience 2+ years of experience Past experience with CAD software (CATIA V5 or V6 preferred) Proficient in Microsoft Office programs Workstyle Work onsite at least 4 days per workweek in the local Honda office at Raymond, OH. One remote workday a week can be possible with prior approval. Ability to travel upto 5% to 10% annually. Work overtime as required.
